Three businesses in Dinajpur have been fined a total of Tk 3 lakh for violating the Safe Food Act. The fines were imposed following a summary trial conducted by the Dinajpur Pure Food Court. The establishments penalized include Dilshad Restaurant, Kachchi Bhai, and Bhinn Swad.

The summary trial was conducted by Senior Judicial Magistrate Mo. Sohag Ali. The trial took place from 7 PM to 8 PM on June 22, 2026. Each of the three establishments was fined Tk 1 lakh, totaling Tk 3 lakh. The fines were collected immediately.
Violations Found
The violations included the lack of necessary labels on stored food items, absence of production and expiration dates, and the sale of expired packaged food products. Notable items found in violation were yogurt, rasmalai, coffee, chanachur, meat, and spices.

Dinajpur District Safe Food Officer Gautam Kumar Saha confirmed the operation in a message sent at 8:30 PM on Monday. A team of officers and police assisted in the judicial process.
