The temperature, which was 35.1°C before the rain, dropped to 25.8°C by evening, a decrease of nearly 10°C. The Met Office had forecasted rain but did not predict the intensity. Seasonal winds have spread across the country, though continuous rain is expected to take a few more days. Isolated rain is likely in various parts of the country.
