Dhanmondi police arrested three Chhatra League activists who were attempting to gather for a procession near Dhanmondi 32 bridge. The arrests were made on Sunday morning.

The arrested individuals are identified as Mo. Mainul Hasan (23), Ibrahim Khalil (31), and Sorhab Hossain (29). Police claim they are active Chhatra League members from Chandpur district who came to Dhaka for the procession.

Dhanmondi Thana's Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Saiful Islam told Prothom Alo that the individuals were trying to gather for a procession. They were detained and interrogated. They were attempting to gather in Dhanmondi through social media communication.
