A Bangladeshi youth was killed by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) gunfire at the Kulaura border in Moulvibazar.

A Bangladeshi youth, Mujib Ali (20), was killed by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) gunfire at the Kulaura border in Moulvibazar on Friday evening. The incident occurred at the Duttagram border in Sharifpur Union. BGB 46 Battalion confirmed the incident.

Lt. Col. Sarkar Asif Mahmud, commanding officer of BGB 46 Battalion, stated that BSF took Mujib's body for a post-mortem at a local hospital. BSF informed that they would hand over the body after completing legal procedures.

Mujib Ali, son of the late Ajib Ullah from the same area, was reportedly involved in smuggling. Local sources indicate he was with several others during the incident.

According to BGB and local sources, Mujib and a group of Bangladeshis crossed the Manu River, which marks the border, and entered India. BSF patrol intercepted them, leading to the fatal shooting.
