The decisive moment came in the second ODI held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka, where Bangladesh secured a 5-wicket victory over Australia under the Duckworth-Lewis method due to rain. With this win, Bangladesh clinched the series with one match to spare. Earlier, in the first ODI at the same venue, Bangladesh had won by 86 runs, also under the Duckworth-Lewis method due to rain.
