17 Detained in Jatrabari Police Crackdown on Crime

Police have arrested 17 individuals allegedly involved in various criminal activities in a special operation conducted in the Jatrabari Police Station area.

17 Detained in Jatrabari Police Crackdown on Crime

Police arrested 17 individuals allegedly involved in various criminal activities during a special drive conducted in the Jatrabari Police Station area yesterday. The operation targeted suspects wanted in regular criminal cases as well as individuals allegedly involved in various offenses. Legal proceedings against the arrested individuals are currently underway, according to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) media and public relations division.

The arrested individuals are: Khalid Hasan Siam, 22, Md Rifat alias Abir, 25, Kusum Akter, 27, Md Mosharraf Mia alias Mostakim, 20, Samia Akter Jarina, 18, Kajal Akter Akhi, 22, Abu Yusuf, 70, Zahidul Islam Zahid, 53, Abul Hossain, 67, Riaz Sheikh alias Sajib, 24, Rahatul Islam, 19, Md Robin, 42, Md Abdur Rahim, 47, Md Moniruzzaman, Sohan, 19, Md Russell, 26 and Syed Abuzar Hossain.

The DMP release stated that such special drives will continue to be conducted in order to maintain law and order in the area. The operation is part of ongoing efforts by law enforcement to curb criminal activities and ensure public safety.

This operation highlights the commitment of the Jatrabari police to tackling crime and maintaining security within their jurisdiction. It is expected that these efforts will contribute to a safer environment for the local community.
