Jurgen Klopp has been appointed as the new head coach of the German men's national football team, succeeding Julian Nagelsmann who left after the team's disappointing World Cup performance. German Football Association (DFB) President Bernd Neuendorf announced Klopp's appointment at a press conference in Frankfurt. Klopp's contract will run until summer 2030, beginning on August 15.

Klopp's Challenge

Klopp, 59, takes on the challenge of reviving Germany's football fortunes after a series of poor performances in major tournaments. Germany was eliminated in the round of 32 of this summer's World Cup by Paraguay on penalties. This marks the third consecutive World Cup failure for the team since their last title win in 2014. They also failed to advance past the group stage in both 2018 and 2022.

Klopp's Record

Klopp has a successful coaching history, having managed German clubs Mainz and Borussia Dortmund before transforming English giants Liverpool. His appointment is seen as a significant move to turn around the national team's recent struggles.
