Hasan Mahmud is set to become the second Bangladeshi cricketer to play in County Cricket. Kent officially announced his addition to their squad. Hasan expressed his excitement, stating, 'Playing for a historic club like Kent is an honor. It feels like a dream come true to play County Cricket. This is a proud moment not just for me, but for all of Bangladesh.'
Hasan will play six matches in total for Kent in the County Championship. His first match could be against Lancashire from June 12 to 15. He will then play against Canterbury from June 19 to 22 before returning to Bangladesh. In September, he will return to England to play the last four matches of the season.
Hasan, a right-arm pacer, committed to hard work and contributing to the team's success. He discussed his role and expectations with Kent's head coach, Adam Hollioake, and director of cricket, Simon Cook. Before this, only Shakib Al Hasan had played County Cricket for Worcestershire and Surrey.
