Bangladesh's national women's football team has been drawn in a tough Group B alongside Korea Republic, DPR Korea, and Myanmar for the 20th Asian Games, set to take place in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, from September 19 to October 4. The official draw was held on Thursday in Japan, dividing the 12 participating teams into three groups.

Challenging Draw for Bangladesh

This draw presents a significant challenge for Bangladesh, who have only previously competed once in the Asian Games women's football tournament. At the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games in China, Bangladesh were eliminated in the group stage after one draw and two defeats in three matches.

Tournament Format and Schedule

The women's football tournament at the Asian Games will see matches played from September 14 to October 2. The top two teams from each group, along with the two best third-placed teams, will qualify for the quarter-finals. Group A consists of Japan, Chinese Taipei, Vietnam, and Thailand, while Group C includes China, Philippines, Uzbekistan, and Hong Kong China.

Bangladesh will need to perform exceptionally well to advance from this competitive group, showcasing their growth and determination in the tournament.
