The 2nd President Bangladesh Squash, a landmark international tournament, concluded today at Bashundhara Sports City Complex.

The 2nd President Bangladesh Squash, the country's first international professional squash tournament, concluded today at Bashundhara Sports City Complex in Dhaka. This historic event, supervised by the Bangladesh Squash Federation and organized by the Bangladesh Professional Squash Association (BPSA), marks a significant milestone in Bangladesh's sporting landscape.

International Participation and Skill Showcase

Over the past three days, the tournament featured thirty-two competitors, including world-ranked professional players from Bangladesh, Nepal, and Malaysia, as well as the nation's top amateur players. The event provided valuable international match experience and showcased advanced squash techniques and modern playing skills.

Ceremony and Recognition

The closing and prize-giving ceremony was chaired by Maj. Gen. Md. Hasan Uz Zaman, president of the Bangladesh Squash Federation and Engineer-in-Chief of the Bangladesh Army. The chief guest was Md. Safiqul Islam Khan, Administrator of the Dhaka North City Corporation. Other dignitaries included Bangladesh Squash Federation vice-president Rashed Chowdhury, general secretary Brig. Gen (retd). GM Quamrul Islam, CEO of Bashundhara Sports City Col (retd). Mohasinul Karim, national coach Mohsen Javed of Iran, members of the Federation's executive and development committees, senior officials of the Bashundhara Group, and the players themselves.
