The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) temporarily paved a half-kilometer dirt road with bricks for Prime Minister Tareq Rahman's visit to his ancestral home in Gabtali, Bogura. The road, which was meant for the PM's convenience, was dismantled shortly after his departure, causing inconvenience to local residents. LGED claims the temporary paving was done following proper procedures, as the road is already allocated for permanent paving with an 84 lakh taka budget. The temporary brick paving cost around 10 lakh taka.

Locals complain that the contractor for the permanent paving has not started work despite receiving the contract. The temporary paving was done in a rush for the PM's visit, and the bricks were removed soon after. Residents are now facing difficulties using the unpaved road.
