BNP Senior Joint Secretary General and Political Adviser to the Prime Minister Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi stated that the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) was formed with the objective of establishing multi-party democracy and ensuring the right to freedom of speech. Speaking at a prayer gathering (doa mahfil) for late Zakir Hossain Nannu, a former vice-president of Juba Dal, held at the BNP's central office in Naya Paltan, Rizvi emphasized that the party inherently carries the spirit of the historic November 7 Sepoy-People’s Revolution.

Rizvi urged party leaders and activists to uphold the party's ideals and focus on hard work rather than despair. He praised the current government's development initiatives, such as expanding the scope of family cards and distributing farmer cards, noting that these efforts will eventually benefit the people and honor the sacrifices of individuals like Zakir Hossain Nannu.

In his address, Rizvi also criticized impunity and conspiracies, referencing the recent arrest of ex-Major Mozaffar Hossain, the killer of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, after 45 years. BNP Joint Secretary General Advocate Abdus Salam Azad MP, Voluntary Affairs Secretary Mir Sarafat Ali Sapu, Central Juba Dal President Abdul Monayem Munna, General Secretary Nurul Islam Nayan, and other party leaders were present at the event.
