This course is open to students and interested individuals from any country. The course covers four basic skills of the Korean language—reading, listening, speaking, and writing. It includes daily life topics such as greetings, introductions, general conversations, time and date, family, and daily life. Each lesson evaluates learning progress through pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and quizzes.
The course takes approximately 17 hours to complete. Upon successful completion, participants will be able to read and write the Korean alphabet 'Hangul', communicate in basic Korean, and gain a preliminary understanding of Korean culture. The course spans six weeks, covering course introduction in the first week, Korean alphabet in the second week, greetings and introductions in the third week, family in the fourth week, time and date in the fifth week, and daily life topics in the sixth week.
No educational qualifications or prior experience are required to apply. Participants only need an internet connection and an interest in learning Korean. They can set their own study schedule. To apply, interested individuals need to sign in using their email account on the Coursera platform via the 'Enroll for Free' option. Although the course is free, participants can obtain a verified certificate by paying an additional fee.
There is no specific deadline for applying to this course, allowing participants to enroll and start learning at any time.
