In a significant anti-drug operation, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested three suspected drug dealers with 56 kg of ganja from Gobindapara village under Birganj Police Station in Dinajpur district. Acting on a tip-off, the RAB team searched a house in the village and made the arrests at 7:40 am.

The detainees have been identified as Md Osman Gani, 45, son of late Shahidullah Islam; Md Ainul Haque, 40, son of late Abdul Gafur, both residents of Gobindapara village; and Md Shakib Islam, 19, son of Nabi Hossain of Sahadubi village under Birganj Police Station.

During initial interrogation, the Elite Force discovered that the arrested individuals had allegedly been collecting drugs from various areas of Dinajpur for an extended period and supplying them across different parts of the country, including the Rangpur division.

Following the arrest, a case was filed against the individuals, and they were handed over to Birganj Police Station along with the seized drugs. The operation underscores the ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies to combat drug trafficking in the region.

The RAB's swift action highlights the importance of intelligence-driven operations in disrupting drug supply chains. The seized ganja, weighing 56 kg, indicates a substantial drug trafficking activity that the authorities are keen to dismantle.
