The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) organized a rally and an awareness meeting at Rampura Police Station to encourage citizens to complete the Citizen Information Management System (CIMS) forms as part of the nationwide CIMS Form Completion Week. The event, held on Wednesday morning in Beat No. 5 under Rampura Police Station, included a rally from Hajipara Petrol Pump through major roads, culminating at Taltala Super Market.

Importance of CIMS Initiative

Speakers at the meeting highlighted the significance of the CIMS initiative, emphasizing that maintaining accurate citizen information is crucial for preventing crime, strengthening law enforcement, and enhancing public safety. They urged residents to complete the CIMS forms within the designated period and cooperate with the police in implementing the programme.

Community Engagement

The event was attended by Kamal Ahmed Dulu, member secretary of the Rampura Police Station Community Policing Committee, along with local political and social leaders, police officials, community policing members, elected representatives, and residents from various backgrounds. According to DMP, CIMS Form Completion Week is being observed from July 21 to July 27, 2026, to raise public awareness and encourage wider participation in the citizen information database initiative.
