Chattogram Zilla Parishad Announces Aid for Flood Victims' Rehabilitation

The Zilla Parishad in Chattogram has announced plans to rehabilitate flood victims across several upazilas.

The Chattogram Zilla Parishad will initiate efforts to rehabilitate individuals from various upazilas who were recently impacted by flooding. The newly-appointed administrator, Md. Mahbuber Rahman Shamim, announced this during a committee meeting held in the conference room of the Chattogram District Council.

Rehabilitation Plans

Discussions are currently taking place regarding how to assist in the rehabilitation of the affected regions, including Banshkhali, Satkania, and Chandanaish within the district. This matter will also be presented to higher government authorities for necessary support.

Development Projects

The proposals submitted by the Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNOs) for the execution of various development projects under the District Council will be given serious consideration. The meeting, chaired by the Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad, Chowdhury Rowshan Islam, included the participation of various officials from different departments.

Collaborative Efforts

Md. Mahbuber Rahman Shamim emphasized the importance of ensuring public service in collaboration with the administration, stating that collective efforts are essential to develop the District Council into a cohesive institution. The meeting included Executive Officer Khondaker Md. Ikhtiar Uddin Arafat, Acting Assistant Engineer S.M Khalequzzaman, Civil Officer Anis Uddin, and officials from UNO, Local Government, and Social Services.
