The 66-year-old politician was well-regarded as defence secretary, advocating for military infrastructure overhauls and increased defence spending.
Burnham aims to implement a 10-year plan to ease cost-of-living pressures and end homelessness. Healey's appointment signals a shift in economic strategy as the UK navigates financial and defence challenges.
