Dr. Khalilur Rahman, President-elect of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) and Bangladesh Foreign Minister, met with senior leaders from Slovakia, Georgia, and North Macedonia in New York. The discussions focused on the key priorities for the upcoming UNGA session and issues of mutual interest.
Exchange of Views
Dr. Rahman held separate meetings with Slovak Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Juraj Blanár, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Lasha Darsalia, and North Macedonian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Zoran Dimitrovski. These meetings are part of his ongoing consultations with UN member states.
Commitment to Inclusive Leadership
Dr. Rahman reaffirmed his commitment to leading an open, inclusive, and member state-driven presidency. He emphasized the importance of close engagement and broad-based cooperation with all UN member states throughout the session.
