A 5.0-magnitude earthquake struck several southeastern provinces in Turkey on Saturday morning, according to the country's disaster management agency. The quake occurred at 6:20 am local time in the Battalgazi district of Malatya province and was felt in the provinces of Malatya, Elazig, Adiyaman, Tunceli, and Sanliurfa. The agency reported no casualties or damage from the event.

Following the earthquake, teams from the disaster agency, AFAD, were deployed to assess the situation. AFAD confirmed that no adverse situations were reported and that their teams continue to work in the affected areas to ensure safety and provide any necessary assistance.
