Retired major league All-Star outfielders Carlos Beltran of Puerto Rico and Andruw Jones of Curacao, along with American second baseman Jeff Kent, were inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame on Sunday in Cooperstown, New York. Beltran, a nine-time Major League Baseball All-Star, becomes only the sixth player from Puerto Rico to be enshrined. Jones, the first player from Curacao to be inducted, had a distinguished career with notable stints in MLB and Japan. Kent, a five-time All-Star, spent the majority of his 17 MLB seasons with the San Francisco Giants.

Beltran, 49, played 20 seasons with seven clubs, concluding his career in 2017 by helping the Houston Astros win the World Series. He batted.279 with 2,725 hits, 435 home runs, and 1,587 runs batted in. During the induction ceremony, Beltran expressed his joy at having both parents and around 150 family members and friends in attendance.

Jones, also 49, managed the Netherlands team in this year's World Baseball Classic, which included his son. He had a.254 batting average with 434 home runs and 1,289 runs batted in over 17 MLB seasons, primarily with the Atlanta Braves. He spent his final two seasons in Japan before retiring in 2014.

Kent, 58, had a.290 batting average with 2,461 hits, 377 home runs, and 1,518 runs batted in over his 17-season MLB career, mostly with the San Francisco Giants. He was a five-time All-Star and played a pivotal role in his teams' successes.

The induction of these players into the Hall of Fame marks a significant moment in baseball history, honoring their outstanding careers and contributions to the sport.
