Police have arrested two individuals for a brick attack on a motorcyclist in Dhaka's Shewrapara area.

Police have arrested two individuals, Parvez (30) and Anwar Hossain Babu (32), for a brick attack on a motorcyclist in Dhaka's Shewrapara area. The incident occurred due to prior enmity, according to police. The attack was captured on CCTV and circulated on social media. The victim, Rafi, was seriously injured and taken away by the attackers in an auto-rickshaw. A case was filed by Rafi's uncle, Nur Hossain, at Kafrul police station. Police identified four individuals involved in the incident, two of whom have been arrested. The motorcycle was recovered abandoned near the scene. Initial investigations suggest the attackers were involved in drug trade, leading to a dispute with the victim.

Incident Details

The incident took place on Monday night around 1:20 AM near Haji Ashraf Ali High School in Kafrul's Shewrapara. Rafi, the victim, was returning home on his motorcycle when several individuals attempted to stop him. Parvez threw a brick at Rafi, causing a severe head injury. Rafi fell off his motorcycle and was taken away by the attackers in an auto-rickshaw. The CCTV footage of the attack was shared on social media, leading to the filing of a case by Rafi's uncle.
