Rangpur's victorious girls' football team was honored with a grand reception after winning the inaugural Natun Kuri Sports 2026 title.

Rangpur's girls' football team received a warm reception from the divisional administration after clinching the title in the inaugural 'Natun Kuri Sports 2026'. The champions were paraded through the city's main roads in an open truck from Shaheed Abu Sayeed Stadium before being felicitated at the divisional commissioner's conference room.

Victory Procession and Felicitation

The team, which defeated Rajshahi division 4-0 in the final held at the Bangladesh Army Stadium in Dhaka on Monday, was congratulated by Divisional Commissioner Md Shahidul Islam. He expressed hope that the young footballers would continue their achievements and represent the country at the highest level in the future.

Overall Performance in Natun Kuri Sports

Rangpur division also excelled in other events of the competition. They won the girls' kabaddi title, finished as runners-up in the boys' cricket and kabaddi events, and secured medals in athletics, badminton, and judo. The reception was attended by Rangpur Range DIG Aminul Islam, Additional Divisional Commissioner Motaleb Hossain Sarkar, Rangpur Development Authority Chairman Md Shamsuzzaman Samu, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ruhul Amin, and other senior officials.
