Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) has arrested 32 individuals accused in various cases and confiscated a substantial amount of smuggled Indian goods and narcotics during special operations conducted over the past 24 hours in Rangpur metropolis. These operations, directed by RpMP Commissioner Mohammad Abdul Mabud, aimed to curb crime and prevent smuggling and drug sales. Under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DB) Sanatan Chakraborty, a DB police team seized 1,50,000 sticks of fake bidis, 15 bags of smuggled Indian cosmetics and toothpastes, nine bags of Indian clothes, 23 bags of fake cigarettes, two bags of fake Akij bidis, and 50 Yaba tablets. The raids were conducted in various parts of the city, leading to the arrest of 32 suspects involved in different criminal activities. Commissioner Mabud stated that such operations will continue regularly to maintain law and order and suppress criminal activities across the metropolis.
