The Coast Guard arrested six individuals and seized a large quantity of fertilizer and other goods that were allegedly being smuggled to Myanmar. The operation, conducted on Tuesday afternoon in the sea area near Char Ganguria of Hatiya's Bhasanchar in Noakhali, was based on secret information. During the operation, a Coast Guard team searched a suspicious cargo boat and confiscated 24,500 kilograms of urea fertilizer, 3,700 kilograms of chickpeas, and 6,850 kilograms of split chickpeas (boot dal). The seized goods were valued at approximately Tk 17.04 lakh. The boat, seized goods, and the six arrested suspects are currently being processed for further legal action.
