Prince Siddhartha Gautama, born over 2,500 years ago in Lumbini, renounced his royal life in search of truth and the path to human liberation. Witnessing old age, sickness, and death, he realized the impermanence and suffering of life. Inspired by a serene monk, he left his palace at 29 to seek enlightenment. After six years of rigorous practice, he attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree in Bodh Gaya at 35. He discovered the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path, teaching non-violence, equality, and compassion. Buddha's teachings spread across India and beyond, emphasizing self-reliance and inner peace. He passed away at 80 in Kushinagar, leaving a legacy of wisdom and compassion that continues to inspire.
