Rajshahi Association Marks 155th Anniversary, Advocates for Heritage Preservation

Rajshahi Association, a cornerstone of social, cultural, and educational development in the region, commemorated its 155th founding anniversary with a call to preserve its rich history and engage the younger generation.

Rajshahi Association, a historic institution closely linked with the region's social, cultural, and educational development, marked its 155th founding anniversary with a discussion meeting. Speakers urged preserving the organization's rich history and heritage while engaging the younger generation in its activities.

The meeting, held at the conference room of the Rajshahi Association, was presided over by Sabur Ali, Additional Deputy Commissioner and Vice-President of the association. Ali highlighted the association's integral role in Rajshahi's social and cultural history, stressing the need to make its activities more dynamic and strengthen its role in preserving the region's heritage.

Mahbub Siddiqui, President of Heritage Rajshahi, presented the keynote paper, emphasizing the association's contributions to education, culture, public welfare, and social progress over the past 155 years. Other speakers, including Hasen Ali, Liakat Ali, Abdul Awal Khan Chowdhury, Rezaul Islam, and Dr Sabrina Anam, reflected on the association's long journey and its impact on the unity, social responsibility, and cultural awareness of the people of Rajshahi.

The event was attended by distinguished personalities such as Dr Iftikharul Alam Masud, Registrar of Rajshahi University, and Advocate Abul Kashem, President of Rajshahi Bar Association. The speakers collectively called for efforts to carry forward the association's legacy, ensuring its continued relevance and impact on the region's social fabric.
