A motorcyclist was killed after being struck by a passenger bus on the Mongla–Khulna Highway in the Bhagabazar area of Rampal upazila on Monday morning.

A motorcyclist was killed after being struck by a passenger bus on the Mongla–Khulna Highway in the Bhagabazar area of Rampal upazila on Monday morning. The deceased, Hafez Ebarat Ali, 50, was a resident of Islamabad village in Rampal upazila. According to police, a passenger bus traveling from Mongla to Khulna hit Ebarat Ali's motorcycle from behind around 10 am while both vehicles were moving in the same direction near Bhagabazar. The impact threw him off the motorcycle onto the road, where he was run over by the bus. He died on the spot. Officer-in-Charge of Rampal Police Station Md. Selim Reza confirmed the matter and said police recovered the body from the spot. The process of filing a case is underway.
