The Alpine Club of Pakistan has confirmed the recovery of the bodies of renowned climber Nirmal Purja and three of his team members, who were killed by an avalanche on Broad Peak. The bodies were transported to the base camp on August 5, following a challenging recovery operation.

The avalanche struck on July 30, cutting off contact with the 10-member international expedition led by 43-year-old British-Nepali climber Nirmal Purja. The Alpine Club of Pakistan announced that there were no survivors.

The recovered bodies include those of Zhong Wang, a Chinese mountaineer, and two Nepali climbers, Nima Sherpa and Kilu Sherpa. Three climbers remain missing, and efforts to locate them will continue when conditions allow.
