Rescuers in Nepal have recovered the bodies of five climbers, including three foreigners, who were killed in an avalanche near the Chinese border last year. Biswash Karki, chairman of Gaurishankar Rural Municipality, confirmed the discovery. The climbers were missing since November when they were hit by an avalanche on the lower flanks of the 5,630-meter Yalung Ri peak.

The climbers included an Italian-Canadian, a German, and an Italian, along with two Nepalis. Locals and rescuers found the bodies on Thursday. However, due to bad weather, the local authority is unable to airlift the bodies yet. Once the weather clears, they plan to retrieve the remains.
