Alongside the train launch, the ministry inaugurated the country's largest railway hydrogen storage and refuelling facility in Jind, with a capacity of 3,000 kilograms. ## Global Hydrogen Train Trend Hydrogen trains use fuel cells to generate electricity by combining hydrogen and oxygen, emitting only water and steam. With this launch, India joins other nations such as Germany, Japan, China, and the United States that are either testing or operating hydrogen-powered trains.
