Bangladesh's FIDE Master Tahsin Tajwar Zia finished 50th in the Masters event of the Serbia Open, securing 5-5 points. The tournament, held as part of the 6th International Summer Chess Festival in Belgrade, Serbia, saw a total of 239 players from 33 countries, including 14 Grandmasters, four Women Grandmasters, and 29 International Masters.

In the final ninth round, Tahsin defeated Alexei Borshch of Russia. However, in the eighth round, he faced defeat against Serbian Grandmaster Mikhail Brijakin.

India's International Master S. Aswath emerged as the champion with 7.5 points, while Russia's FIDE Master Yurasov Metfe finished as the runner-up with the same number of points.
