National ODI captain Mehedi Hasan Miraz has returned home after being hospitalized following a head injury. Miraz sustained the injury during the second ODI against Australia when he was hit on the head by a Nathan Ellis bouncer. He was subsequently taken to Evercare Hospital for observation.

Although Miraz continued playing after the incident, he was taken to the hospital post-match. Initial scans showed no serious issues. In a video message, national team manager Nafis Iqbal confirmed that Miraz has returned home.

Nafis mentioned that Miraz was under observation for about 12 hours and that his scans came back normal. The decision on whether Miraz will play in the third ODI against Australia will be made after assessing his practice session tomorrow. Bangladesh has already won the three-match ODI series by winning the first two games.
