A delegation from the International Cricket Council (ICC) met with Bangladesh Cricket Board's (BCB) ad-hoc committee chairman Tamim Iqbal and member Fahim Sinha to discuss the upcoming BCB elections scheduled for May 7. The ICC representatives, Dr. Mohammad Mosaje of Cricket South Africa and Tavengwa Mukuhlani of Zimbabwe Cricket, arrived in Dhaka today for election observation. They will also meet with former BCB president Aminul Islam, current directors, the election commission, and returning officers. E-ballot distribution has begun, and most director positions have been filled uncontested. Elections will occur in Khulna and Barisal divisions. Club category elections will involve 16 candidates for 12 positions, with an open election format encouraged by Tamim.

## Election Details

The BCB elections will see contested positions in Khulna and Barisal divisions. In Khulna, Shafikul Alam, Shantanu Islam, and Abdus Salam are vying for two positions, while in Barisal, Mizanur Rahman and Muntasir Alam Chowdhury are contesting for one position. The club category will have 16 candidates for 12 director positions, with at least 7-8 candidates expected to be elected based on agreements.
