## Training Details

The minister revealed that the training was provided by Russian experts and included hands-on experience at a fully operational international-standard training center equipped with a full-scale simulator and technical support equipment. Bangladeshi trainers, who received direct training in Russia, are now imparting knowledge to the workforce responsible for the plant's operation and maintenance.

## Capacity Building and Future Plans

Faqir Mahbub Anam informed the House that around 5,000 foreign experts and skilled workers are currently involved in the project's implementation. The ongoing capacity-building initiative aims to reduce the country's dependence on foreign experts. Additionally, nuclear engineering departments have been introduced at several universities, including BUET and the University of Dhaka, to develop skilled manpower for the nuclear sector.

## Institutional Strengthening

The minister also highlighted that the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC) is enhancing its institutional capacity to serve as the Technical Supporting Organization (TSO) for the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant. This move is part of the broader strategy to ensure the plant's safe and efficient operation in the future.
