Speaking at the closing ceremony of the National Hajj and Umrah Fair-2026, Afroza assured that the government is taking steps to ensure a transparent, affordable, and hassle-free Hajj journey. The government aims to increase the commission for Hajj agencies while reducing the overall costs for pilgrims.

Afroza emphasized the importance of honesty and integrity among all stakeholders involved in the Hajj process, stating that everyone has an accountability to Almighty Allah. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, the government has dismantled past airfare syndicates that caused excessive fares for pilgrims and has reduced Hajj airfare by Tk 36,800 in just five months.
