State Minister for Land and Chattogram Hill Tracts Affairs Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin has declared that the government will maintain a zero tolerance policy against all forms of crime and extortion. Speaking as the chief guest at a special law and order meeting in Hathazari Upazila, he stressed that the identity of any criminal will be defined by their actions rather than their political affiliations.

## Strict Enforcement Against Criminal Activities

The State Minister assured that four individuals have already been apprehended in connection with recent extortion cases and promised that the remaining suspects would also be captured shortly. He expressed concern over individuals attempting to engage in criminal activities while misusing the names of various political parties.

## Consequences for Misuse of Political Names

Strict legal measures will be enforced against those involved in extortion, terrorism, or social crimes under any party's name. Law enforcement agencies have been directed to take appropriate legal action alongside organizational measures against those attempting to exploit party names for wrongful acts.

The state minister also highlighted his long-standing support for the people of Hathazari, stating that he has stood by them for the past 19 years and will continue to do so in the future.
