Saiful Haque, General Secretary of Revolutionary Workers Party, stated that India must stop 'push-in' activities at the border to maintain good relations with Bangladesh. He emphasized that India should refrain from all anti-Bangladesh activities.

Haque made these remarks at a meeting of the Dhaka Metropolitan Committee of Revolutionary Workers Party held at Sanghati Milanaytan in Segunbagicha, Dhaka. The party announced this in a press release.

He accused India of continuing communal incitement and anti-Bangladesh activities despite claiming to maintain friendly relations. Haque alleged that these activities have intensified since the formation of the BJP government in West Bengal.

Regarding the legal process of sending back Bangladeshi citizens illegally residing in India, Haque suggested that a similar process could be adopted for Indian citizens illegally residing in Bangladesh, adhering to international law and recognized procedures.

He called on the government to take initiatives to resolve bilateral issues based on equality, fairness, and mutual respect, without being instigated by India or the Indian Border Security Force (BSF).

At the meeting, Haque welcomed the government's announcement to withdraw the increased electricity prices for low-income consumers and urged the government not to increase electricity prices for the next two years as previously announced. He stated that if theft, corruption, wastage, and mismanagement in the fuel and electricity sectors are reduced, there would be no need for price increases.

The meeting was chaired by Mir Mofazzal Hossain Mostak, President of the Dhaka Metropolitan Committee of Revolutionary Workers Party. Central and metropolitan leaders of the party, including political council member Akbar Khan, delivered speeches. The meeting also finalized the program of the Dhaka Metropolitan Committee for the 22nd founding anniversary of Revolutionary Workers Party on June 14.
