# Dr. Muhit Advocates for Impartial Administration to Strengthen Rule of Law

State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr M A Muhit today urged the administration to perform its duties impartially and free from all forms of influence to uphold the rule of law. He emphasized that political affiliation should have no bearing on the enforcement of the law. Muhit stressed that there is no scope for criminals to receive political patronage under the present government and that anyone involved in illegal activities would be brought to justice, regardless of their identity.

## Neutral Governance

While addressing separate programmes in Shahjadpur as the chief guest, Muhit highlighted the need for neutral governance. "Crime is a crime, no matter who commits it," he asserted. He referred to the previous Awami League government, alleging that criminals often escaped punishment during that period, but assured that the present government would not allow such a culture to continue.

## Transparent Relief Distribution

Muhit also emphasized transparency in the distribution of relief and government assistance. He said lawmakers and political activists could help identify poor families, but government officials must ensure that assistance reaches the rightful beneficiaries. During his visit, he inaugurated several development projects, distributed food and cash assistance among distressed people, and handed over vending machines for adolescents' health protection.

## Development Initiatives

The state minister inaugurated a canal re-excavation project from the Choto Bridge near Manirampur Bazar to Lalapur. He also opened a hygiene corner and distributed sports equipment among students. Muhit’s visit aimed to reinforce the government’s commitment to development and welfare initiatives in the region.
