Mirza Abbas, a prominent member of the BNP Standing Committee and the Prime Minister's Political Adviser, returned to Bangladesh tonight after undergoing extensive medical treatment in Singapore and Malaysia for over five months. The flight carrying Mirza Abbas landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 9:30pm, as confirmed by the BNP Media Cell. A large number of BNP leaders and activists gathered at the airport to welcome the veteran leader.

Mirza Abbas returned home following the advice of the medical board overseeing his treatment. His health condition had suddenly deteriorated on March 11 when he lost consciousness while drinking water during Iftar. He was immediately admitted to Evercare Hospital in Dhaka. As his condition did not improve, he was airlifted to Singapore on March 15 for further treatment.

After receiving initial treatment in Singapore, Mirza Abbas was transferred to Malaysia for advanced medical care. His prolonged absence from the country and the nature of his illness had raised concerns among his supporters and party members. His return, therefore, was met with enthusiasm and relief among the BNP ranks.

The airport area turned festive as party supporters gathered to receive him. Mirza Abbas's return is significant for the BNP, as he is a veteran leader and his presence is crucial for the party's political activities. His health and well-being are of great importance to the party's leadership and its followers.

The BNP, one of the major political parties in Bangladesh, has faced several challenges in recent years. The return of Mirza Abbas, a key figure in the party, is expected to provide a boost to the party's morale and strengthen its leadership. His experience and political acumen are invaluable assets for the BNP as it navigates the complex political landscape of Bangladesh.

The medical treatment and subsequent return of Mirza Abbas highlight the challenges faced by many Bangladeshis who seek advanced medical care abroad due to the limitations of domestic healthcare facilities. His case underscores the importance of improving healthcare infrastructure and services within the country to reduce the reliance on foreign medical treatment.
