## Historical Context and Call for Unity

The discussion, organized by the Dhaka University White Panel and the University Teachers' Association of Bangladesh, marked the second anniversary of the July Mass Uprising. Ahmed highlighted that the victory achieved through years of democratic struggle should not be misused by any group. He called for reforms to limit the tenure of prime ministers and ensure checks and balances in the parliamentary system.

Addressing students, Ahmed urged them to avoid provocative statements and protest through democratic means. He referred to alleged attempts to trap students and called for patience and tolerance.
