In a rally held in Jashore, State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Aninda Islam Amit highlighted that the democratic movement has opened a pathway to constructing a new Bangladesh. Amit, who is also the Acting Organising Secretary for the BNP in Khulna Division, made the remarks during a procession organized by the district BNP to commemorate the second anniversary of the student-people's uprising and the fall of Sheikh Hasina.

## Call for Unity and Responsibility

Amit stressed that the opportunity achieved through the democratic movement should not be used for revenge or misuse. He urged everyone to play a responsible role in strengthening the democratic process and warned that anyone deviating from the ideals of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman would have no place in the BNP.

## Curbing Drugs and Terrorism

Addressing BNP leaders and activists, Amit called for intensified efforts to combat drugs and terrorism in their respective areas. He also requested law enforcement agencies to ramp up drives against smuggling, drugs, and terrorism in the border district of Jashore.

## Event Details

The procession, led by BNP Central Committee Vice Chairman Professor Nargis Begum, started from Munshi Meherullah Maidan and concluded at the Monihar area after parading through various roads in the town. District BNP President Advocate Syed Saberul Haque Sabu, General Secretary Delwar Hossain Khokon, and numerous leaders and activists of the district and city BNP participated in the event.
