Charmonai Pir Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim has called for a change in the budget to reduce the increasing debt burden. Speaking at a roundtable discussion titled 'Bangladesh's upcoming fiscal year budget: Our thoughts and public expectations,' organized by Islami Andolon Bangladesh at the Shafiqul Kabir Milanaytan in Dhaka, he highlighted the growing debt each year and stressed the necessity for change.

The Charmonai Pir also noted the difference between past and present governments, attributing the current government's rise to addressing injustices through an uprising. He argued that the policies in place have failed to meet public aspirations and called for the implementation of Islamic Shariah law for effective governance.
