Ruhul Amin, a resident of Chak Narendra village in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj, spends his days picking mangoes during the season. His primary job is to pick mangoes, and he also handles tasks like arranging baskets and sending mangoes to the market. He has been working in the mango orchards of Chapainawabganj Horticulture Center for the past 18 years.

Ruhul Amin can pick around 4-5 maunds of Khirsa and Gopalbhog mangoes, and 6-7 maunds of Fazli and Ashwina mangoes in a day. He earns approximately 15,000 taka per month during the six to seven months he works in the mango orchards. During the rest of the year, he engages in other jobs to make ends meet.

Ruhul Amin's life has been intertwined with mango orchards since he was a child. His father, a day laborer, put him to work in the orchards instead of sending him to school. Over time, he has grown fond of the orchards and the joy of sharing mangoes with his family. His dream now is to ensure his children receive a good education.
