# National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery Introduces E-Ticketing System

In an effort to enhance patient care and streamline services, the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery has introduced an e-ticketing system for its outpatient department. This initiative aims to reduce long wait times and make healthcare services more accessible and efficient for patients.

## Improved Efficiency and Patient Experience

The e-ticketing system, officially launched by Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md. Sakhawat Husain, is designed to alleviate the burden on patients who previously had to arrive early and wait in long queues for OPD tickets. By adopting digital registration, the system promises to expedite the process and minimize patient discomfort.

Patients will only need to complete an online registration once. Their information will then be securely stored, allowing for quick access during future visits. This feature aims to save time and reduce the repetitive input of personal details.

The system also maintains a comprehensive record of each patient's previous hospital visits and treatment history. This allows physicians to provide more accurate and effective medical care by having all relevant information readily available.

## Implementation and Benefits

The new e-ticketing system is the result of an initiative led by the institute’s Director, Professor Dr. Mohammad Nasir Uddin. The goal is to modernize patient services and ensure a more organized and efficient healthcare delivery process.

During the inauguration, S M Ziauddin Hyder, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on health affairs, attended the ceremony and observed the operation of the new system. The minister emphasized the potential of the e-ticketing system to significantly improve the patient experience and operational efficiency.
