A total of 196 more dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across Bangladesh in the past 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). The new admissions bring the total number of dengue cases this year to 7,306.

## Regional Breakdown of New Admissions

Among the newly hospitalised patients, 66 were admitted in Barishal division, 41 in Chattogram division, four in Dhaka division (Outside the city corporations), 19 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 29 in Dhaka South City Corporation, eight in Mymensingh division, six in Rajshahi division, two in Sylhet division and 21 in Khulna division.

## Recoveries and Fatalities

During the same period, 139 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery, raising the total number of recoveries this year to 6,676. The DGHS data showed that 19 people have died from the mosquito-borne disease so far this year.

## Gender Distribution and Historical Data

The DGHS data showed that men account for 61.5 percent of the infections and women 38.5 percent. In comparison, Bangladesh reported 102,861 dengue cases and 413 deaths in 2025. In 2024, the country recorded 101,214 dengue cases and 575 deaths from the disease.
