Around 181 dengue patients were admitted to various hospitals across Bangladesh in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). During this period, there were no reported deaths from dengue. Among the new patients, 57 are from Dhaka Division, 25 from Mymensingh Division, 71 from Chattogram Division, 16 from Khulna Division, two from Rajshahi Division, seven from Barishal Division, and three from Sylhet Division.

So far this year, a total of 12,201 people have been hospitalized with dengue. The DGHS reports that 39 people have died from dengue this year, while 11,081 patients have been discharged from hospitals after treatment.

Last year, from January 1 to December 31, 2025, a total of 102,861 people were infected with dengue, and 413 people died from the disease. Dengue remains a significant public health concern in Bangladesh, particularly during the monsoon season when mosquito populations surge.

The recent surge in dengue cases underscores the ongoing challenge faced by health authorities in managing the disease. Efforts to control mosquito populations and raise public awareness about prevention measures are critical to mitigating the spread of dengue.
