A new television reality show titled 'In Search of Talent' (Pratibhar Sandhane) is set to be launched by the Information and Broadcasting Ministry to discover and promote the country's diverse talents from grassroots communities and remote areas on national and global platforms. Unlike conventional shows, this initiative aims to provide a platform for every form of talent, from traditional folk arts to modern technology-based innovations.

The competition will welcome a wide range of performances and innovations, including traditional folk arts like lathi khela (stick fighting), puppet shows, and bahurupi (traditional impersonation), as well as acrobatics, magic, robotics, drone shows, sand art, and any other unique talents. The year-long show will consist of 52 episodes, each lasting between 45 and 60 minutes, and will be broadcast on Bangladesh Television (BTV) and OTT platforms.

The audition process will start with digital registration through a mobile app or online platform, followed by divisional audition camps across all eight divisions of the country. Successful contestants will proceed through studio auditions, knockout rounds, semifinals, and a grand finale featuring public voting. The judging panel will include three eminent personalities from Bangladesh's music, dance, and acting industries, with two popular hosts presenting contestants' stories and experiences.

Inspired by international productions such as Britain's Got Talent, the show will feature world-class stage and lighting design. Each performance will be preceded by a cinematic backstory highlighting the contestant's journey and struggles. The Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) will serve as the principal organizer of the event.

BFDC Managing Director Masuma Rahman Tani emphasized the importance of identifying and promoting the country's diverse hidden talents. State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Yasser Khan Choudhury highlighted the government's commitment to recognizing young talents and creating diverse employment opportunities. The initiative aims to empower artists, revitalize traditional folk culture, and inspire the next generation.
