Social Welfare and Women and Children Affairs Minister AZM Zahid Hossain has underscored the critical role of vocational education in equipping the younger generation with the skills required to thrive in the modern world. Speaking at the 'Career Guideline Program-2026' held at the Bangladesh National Museum auditorium in Shahbagh, the minister highlighted that traditional learning methods alone are insufficient to address future challenges. He emphasized the need for technology-based, practical knowledge, creativity, and discipline among young people, especially in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The minister also noted the government's efforts in providing skills training in various trades to promote self-reliance and societal contribution among youths. Additionally, he stressed that no citizen should be denied education or healthcare due to financial constraints. State Minister for Water Resources Forhad Hossain Azad, present as a special guest, discussed the significance of mentorship programs for rural students and announced plans to excavate 20,000 kilometers of canals in Dinajpur as part of environmental and agricultural development initiatives. RAJUK Chairman Engineer Md. Riazul Islam encouraged students to consider entrepreneurship over conventional job-seeking.
