# SSC and Equivalent Exam Results 2026: 62.25% Pass Rate Announced

The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examination results for 2026 were published today with a pass rate of 62.25%. A total of 1,16,676 students secured GPA-5. The results were announced by Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon at a press conference at the Secretariat. This year, 11,38,877 out of 18,29,485 candidates passed the exams under the country's 11 education boards. The pass rate has decreased from last year's 68.45%.

Prof Syed Akhtaruzzaman, president of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and chairman of Dhaka Education Board, presented the detailed results at the press conference. Of the students who passed, 5,30,938 were boys and 6,07,939 were girls. Dhaka Education Board topped with a 71.63% pass rate and 33,253 students achieving GPA-5. Other notable boards include Rajshahi with 63.67% pass rate and 22,327 GPA-5, and Jashore with 66.27% pass rate and 11,478 GPA-5. The pass rates for Madrasa and Technical Education Boards were 55.49% and 58.2%, respectively.

Group-wise results show that the science group had the highest number of passed students with 4,57,188, achieving an 80.64% pass rate. The humanities group recorded a 48.74% pass rate with 3,11,174 passed students, while the business education group had a 64.29% pass rate with 1,41,248 passed students. Prime Minister's Education Adviser Dr Mahdi Amin, Secondary and Higher Education Division Secretary Md Abdul Khaleque, and the chairmen of different education boards were present at the press conference.

The publication of SSC results is a significant event in Bangladesh, reflecting the performance of secondary education students across the country. The slight decrease in pass rate and GPA-5 achievements this year indicates a need for further improvements in the education system.
