Rajshahi University (RU) recently hosted a seminar dedicated to the renowned modern Iranian poet Mohammad Hossein Shahriar. The event, held at the Department of Persian Language and Literature, brought together a diverse group of scholars, students, and cultural representatives to explore Shahriar’s contributions to Persian poetry.

## Key Highlights of the Seminar

The seminar, chaired by Professor Tahmina Begum, was attended by several high-ranking university officials, including Vice-Chancellor Professor Faridul Islam and various pro-vice-chancellors and deans. The guest of honor, Mahdi Mowlai Arani, the Cultural Counselor at the Iranian Embassy in Dhaka, added to the event's prestige.

Lecturer Kamal Hossain delivered a paper titled 'Moral and Humanitarian Consciousness in the Poetry of Mohammad Hossein Shahriar,' providing insights into the poet’s themes and impact.
